I met Ryan and Brad through another Denver photographer, Brooke Summer, who specializes in Boudoir portraits.  Brooke is not only an amazing photographer, but a fellow brunch enthusiast – which is very important to me in a friendship ;).  When Brooke told me her BFF was getting married in Phoenix, I was so excited to leave the mountains and head into the desert.

Just before Halloween, we landed in Phoenix and drove out to Tapatio cliffs – the resort where the wedding was being held.  The venue property was beautiful – there was an amazing pool and lush greenery everywhere.

After their first look, we headed to Papago Park for some portraits just before the sun started to hit the horizon.  While we were out in the blistering Arizona sun, Ryan and I joked that we were “sweat sisters” – this Colorado gal isn’t used to the Desert heat!

For the theme of their ceremony and reception, Ryan and Brad decided on Fall in the Southwest.  All of their friends and family traveled from out of state to celebrate with them for their destination wedding.
