Rocky Mountain National Park is one of my favorite places on the planet.  I frequent these mountains during my personal treks as well.  When Jaime contacted me about a winter mountain engagement session, I knew Rocky would be the perfect backdrop.  Winter time can be challenging in Colorado, as many roads close – but not those beautiful, windy roads leading up to Sprague Lake.

I wanted to be sure to photograph Jaime and Dylan with both a valley view as well as the amazing view of Hallett Peak up on Sprague, so we stopped at Moraine Valley on the way up the road.  After shedding their coats and winter gear, Jaime and Dylan braved the freezing temps and trumped around in the snow for a few hours.  Never once complaining.

During our adventures, we ran into one of my favorite people/photographers – one of my second shooters and partner in crime, Jenae.  Thanks for the few snaps of me lookin’ a fool with my gear.  😀

A wonderful part of my job is meeting some amazing people from all over the world.  Jaime and Dylan just moved to Colorado not too long ago and will be getting married in her home state of Virginia this upcoming October.  I am so ecstatic to head out East this fall for to capture their wedding!

Thank you again for adventuring with me out into the cold, cold mountains!

And here I am – as I said earlier – lookin’ a fool.  However, it’s easy to look pretty silly next to these gorgeous love birds.
