Angelique and Shane | Storm Pass | Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement
Savannah Chandler Photography | Estes Park Engagement Photographer

I met Angelique and Shane through a favorite fellow photographer duo of mine – Stacy and Trent of Gillespie Photography.  I’m SO glad that I was able to meet this amazing couple this past October for their Rocky Mountain National Park Engagement.  To say that the two of them are smitten with one another would be an understatement.  When Angelique told me that they were looking to photograph in Rocky Mountain National Park and have as much of the fall color as possible, I knew that Storm Pass was just the place.  In late September and early October, the entire mountain side just below Hallett Peak turns ablaze with yellow and reds.  It’s one of the only places inside Rocky Mountain National Park that I’ve seen that much fall color.  I also am a tad obsessed with the way the sun dips ever so elegantly behind the crescent peak of Hallett in late fall.  I was worried with the amount of clouds that afternoon that we’d miss the amazing sun-dip photos, but just as I was photographing facing the other direction Angelique told me to turn around.  The sun came out, just for a few glorious minutes – it was just enough time for the two of them to literally run up and across the stream to snap a few photos.  I may or may not have been nearly knee deep in the water to get the angle I was after

Thank you again, Angelique and Shane, for spending a lovely (and stunning) evening with me for your Rocky Mountain National Park engagement.  I’m so sad to miss photographing the wedding, but will be incredibly excited to see the photos from your wedding this upcoming October!!
