For Cassidee and Zach’s Rocky Mountain National Park engagement, my partner in crime Haley of Haley Allen Photography and I had epic mountain shots in mind.  Sweeping views, up on Bear lake.  Colorado weather is so unpredictable in the spring… nature had other plans in store for us.  This spring has certainly been one bringing late snow and strange storms.  This Saturday was just that – a storm brewed directly above Estes Park and on the West side of the park.  We could see the snow getting worse as we drove closer and higher towards Bear Lake.  Being the troopers that they are, Cassidee and Zach still got out on the frozen lake, looking dapper in a red dress and a navy suit.

Seeking warmer and lower ground, we headed towards Moraine Park, which provides sweeping mountain field views and an incredible beaver pond.  Only a mere 5 minutes down the mountain, we found pockets of sunlight and completely different weather.  Go figure, only in Colorado.

These two are full of fun and love – and were both willing to brave the craziness with us.
